Samuel Mabe is the heart behind Portsmouth Private Chefs, bringing over a decade of hands-on culinary experience to every table. Trained at the renowned South Downs College with a Level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery, Samuel has built his career through some of the country’s most respected kitchens, from 5-star hotels to Michelin-recommended restaurants.

His journey began in the bustling kitchens of Surrey, where he learned the craft under the mentorship of celebrated chefs like Alex Aitken (The Jetty, Christchurch) and Sarah King—a global culinary force with a legacy in New York, Dubai, and London. These early years instilled in him a deep respect for classical technique, seasonality, and global influence.

Samuel’s resume spans everything from fine dining to high-volume gastropubs and elite private estates. His work has been defined by precision, adaptability, and an unwavering passion for hospitality. He’s led brigades, designed bespoke menus, and delivered unforgettable dining experiences for families, celebrities, and corporate clients alike.
